The act of writing is the act of making soul, alchemy.

Gloria E. Anzaldua

I write to honor the voices that shaped me and challenge the narratives that seek to contain us.

My unapologetic style defies conventions and celebrates the complexity of writing as a bilingual migrant woman of color, centering on themes of language, identity, justice, and liberation.

I write in English, Spanish, and Spanglish, reflecting the experience of growing up between worlds and living in the intersticios. Writing is both medicina and method, allowing me to gather my pedacitos and piece myself back together. My writing is in conversation with Chicana feminist writers who view writing as a ritual that holds the potential to create liberatory spaces where one can reclaim one's voice, heal one's wounds, and reconstruct oneself.
